I just sent this letter to Gazette, follow me, my fellows
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o:p> Rebut “China's hypocrisy is showing”
I suspect the standpoints of the author because our basic right of getting justice is stripped off. Let us analyse this guy’s points.
As he/she wrote in the article, “The cause? A history textbook accepted for use by only 18 of the 11,102 junior high schools in Japan.” Can you imagine that what is the catastrophic result if there is only one school in Germany to remove what Germany had done in Second World War? This world would be filled with huge denouncement. Of course, as we all know, the Germany governments did not do that, and they respect the history and made deep and serious apologies to suffered countries instead. However, Japanese governments have not issued any serious apology for wartime atrocities, and their officials visit the mausoleum of Second World War and pay their respect to wartime criminals instead. Keeping this in mind, do you think number 18 is trivial? Does the author have any sympathy to Asian people who lost their lives in Second World War? In China, 30 million people’ lives are destroyed in this war. Can you tolerate letting this government to acquire a permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council?
In the article, the author also said “China, among the most repressive societies in the world, is in no position to criticize its neighbour.” This is defiance to our basic human right to get justice. No matter what the political institution which each suffered country has, she should have the right to let the world get the true facts, she cannot tolerate the atrocities are consciously revised. Moreover, such a government is not suitable to acquire a permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council. Chinese people and Chinese government should have their rights and they are using these rights to protest. We will fight for these rights.
I suggest the author to refresh himself/herself with facts in Second World War and to regain back his consciousness. Here are some links. In French, http://300000.longzg.com/faindex.html, and in English, http://www.gendercide.org/case_nanking.html.</o:p> |
