hi, nick, in my case, i will stay in quebec for more than 1 year by next Sept. when i will go to a school in Ontario, and can i still be treated as quebec resident? my study in Ontario is only an one-year master program, so is it eligible for l&b? and do i need to hold sthg like leases or other documents to prove that i am still a quebec resident, just temporarily studying in Ontario?

thanks a lot. money is not my first concern, but need to know if it is possible to make myself better.

i am not so sure, cause indeed i am even not a student so far. as i know, yes, but the calculation of l&b is quite different. but you'd better to check some official documents directly.

I have been living in Montreal for more than 12 years. Personally I do not like Toronto for its heavy pollution and ugly landscape. The city is way too large and a car is a must. Although one may earn more in Ontario but you will have to sacrifice lifestyle. French may be a barrier. But if you take it as a bonus, then you will realize that being able to speak French gives advantage over other candidates when trying to find a job. Same if you want to go back to China.

I would stay in Montreal.
