Hello everybody. I received the offer letter from ECE around June 20, no CELDT mentioned. My case is the M.A.Sc program beginning September. No financial support either. On Jun 23, I replied Diane Moffat confirming my acceptance to the offer, but haven't received the official letter from the School of Graduate Studies.
Should anyone receive the official offer, please let others know. Hope all of us can get favourable answers soon.
to mouse4u,
As I know, unlike undergraduate, graduate school will ask you to register different ESL courses(ESL 207,208,209) according to your CELDT score. While CELDT is just one of some reference factors, they might reject you if your CELDT score could not excess the minimal requirement. But, as I said above, it is just what I learned.
I suggest that you connect Diane as soon as possible.
Dianne said that we don not need to take any ESL courses if the ECE do not ask us to take the English test in the letters.
Since you all guys can write to each other in English here, why do you worry about your CELDT.
If you have a TOEFL score above 580, you won't
be required an CELDT.
And Concordia just wanna you register more courses, they don't care about your english.hehe.
Anyway, if you are not sure, write to Diane....
