Hi,everyone
I graduated from Continuing Education of McGill and is searching a job now. During the period of 5 months, I sent out hundreds of CV but no OFFER of INTERVIEW!
Yesterday, I read the Sinoquebec Newspaper and it said a white man cheated many chinese. It gave us two examples. Both are related to bookkeeper job. I think it implies that so many chinese bookkeeper are finding jobs now including me.
I am frustrated and I was wondering it's true to find an accounting job now?

Do you have previous experiences? If not, I would suggest you go further studying for a professional title like CGA or sthg else. Plus language is another issue, local people they thought Chinese can only speak a little English, so have to impress them you are truly bilingual. Good luck, don't give up, at least accounting is not Computer Science, yet.

Yeah, It is true that right now accounting is hard to find a job because so many chinese people study accounting after computer career dead.
But don't give up, study some french at the same time. Try as many source as possible.
You know what, it will be more and more difficult for our chinese to find an accounting position here just because too many people....

In fact, I have no experience at all. Frankly, I transfered my domain from Computer Science to Accounting when I landed in Montreal. At that time, I thought I did a wise decision, but now, the cruel reality scatters my dream again. Anyhow, Antec and Ko's replies give me good advices. I will go to study French!
