But Waterloo is very tough, very very tough. It is not strange that you hear somebody fail in that school. Both domestic and international,
Waterloo is well recognized as the most perspective univ of Canada. I never hear their graduates worry about jobs.

我也碰到这个问题.今年三月被Concordia的John Molson School of Business的Fiance专业录取,七月底到Montreal机票都订好了(不能退),现在又收到University of Albert和 University of Calgary的 Economics专业录取(不是商学院).问中国人,都说去Alberta,问这里的外国人,他们说该去Concordia.我都愁死了,不知该去那个学校.另外,这三个学校我都答应去了,到时不去会不会有麻烦?大伙帮我出出主意.

Let’s jump to the conclusion first: cancel your ticket, burn your passport and stay where you are. The bottom line is: make your money worth!

University of Alberta Plus University of Calgary: third-tier in North America, and to make matters worse, you pick the wrong major. Sorry. But, if you are young enough (below 23), use that painful experience as a leverage, and head for a Ph.D at US top 10, or LBS or INSEAD or Cambridge.

Concordia, well, what can I say? You’ve seen the best of the best at Concordia-wangba…
So, professional conclude: For this particular high-school, “garbage in and garbage out” is only a compliment.

Now, you decide.

I guess the key problem here is most ppl think overall reputation of Concordia and Waterloo is not at the same level. if you were also got admitted by McGill or Toronto with your first-choice major, then the choice would be much easier.

So at least you should make sure if you are in a position to transfer ur major in waterloo, otherwise it's really not very attractive to get a pure math bachelor degree even if it's from Princeton.

In short, get to know urself what you really want to do in the furture.

as far as i know, finance and accounting in concordia are not bad. only if u choose Economics, then as Professional said, PhD is a must to get a decent analysis job in financial institutions or be a professor. Actually, i think good working experience (e.g. as an associate in BCG or a analyst in TD bank) is much more useful than get a PhD in North America. In China, it seems every companies are fighting for masters, phds to fillfull their overqulified positions.

当然去WATERLOO了，明年我也可能去了，要是MCGILL不入我，我还有一点受不了了——看英语很累又看不懂求求各位以后不要写英语了。
