freesia:

考 GMAT 的人可以把你的问题作为一道逻辑题训练一下。   :p

Let me answer your question. That the admission officer knows your bachelor's degree does not necessarily mean that the Loan and Bursary office knows the same information.

got it ?

my situation:

May - Aug: I landed and stayed in Montreal (for exactly three months);
Aug - Nov: go back to our homeland
Nov. - : back to Montreal

I applied as a federal immigrant but I have never lived in other provinces except Quebec since I arrived Ca.

I am wondering whether I am eligible for applying loans and bursaries for the coming winter semester of 2004?

I called 1-877-643-3750 twice. It is interesting that I got two different answers from two agents! One is surely not, another is of course I can!!      Now I get more confused!!!

Where can I check the criteria for judging whether I can be regarded as a Quebec resident? Or any one of you, my friends, has similar situation like me could give your opinion?

Thanks a looooooooooooot!

I am an export on L&B. Regarding your case, if you can prove that you stayed in Montreal for at least 3 months after landing, then you will be eligible.

goooooooooooood luck !

To 还 again and other kind friends:

I want to register a vocational training program in Jan 2004(will last for a year), and will start a continuing education program(graduate) in May 2004. But I do not want to quit the training program after May. (ambitious, isn't it?)

The 1st question is:

Which choice is better: transfer L&B to the continuing education program in May or until Dec.(the end of the training program)? What is the difference between these two choices?

The 2nd question is:

Suppose I do not transfer until Dec., and also suppose they assess that I can get loan $2500 and bursary $6500 for the training course(I am not sure about the total amt), I do not know how will L&B be awarded to me:

(1) Jan-Apr: Loan $2500 + Bur.$500
(2) May-Aug: Loan or Bur??: $3000
(3) Sep-Dec: Bur. 3000

I noticed that there is a conflict in the second term, i.e.: If they pay me loan, then the total loan will amount to $5500, which is bigger than what they assessed, while they might pay me loan because it is the beginning of a new financial year! Oh, have I clearly expressed what I want to ask? Really sorry for taking your time!

And thanks a lot!

1. until Dec

2. too complicated ! please remember :

starting May 2004, they will assess your L&B again. ie. you will get another loan of 2500, as the case may be.  you can't add 2500+2500=5000, which is absolutely meaningless.
