Last night, I received the confirmation letter for my citizenship application. I skimmed the “A Look at Canada”. I found the Oath of Citizenship. To enjoy the citizenship, I have to swear/affirm that I will be loyal to the Queen. I thought that there were many version of oath. I searched the Internet. I found out that there is only one version in English.



I like this country, the democracy, the freedom, the equity, etc. It is unbelievable that we have to be loyal to a specific person.



You are a brave man. I like you voted to change the Oath of Citizenship. Do you have any new information about that?



The reason why I oppose to swear/affirm to be loyal to her is:

Before February 1763, this land belonged to France. People lived here were loyal to France King. Since France lost the Seven Year’s War, France King gave this land to British Queen, since then people lived here should loyal to British Queen. If British Queen lost a new war, and she gives up this land, do we have to be loyal to another person?



Because the historical reason, I have no objection that we have her as the head of the state. However, it is difficult for me to swear/affirm that I will be loyal to her.

无所谓,从入少先队开始,誓言就成了屁的的代名词,所以继续吧...,中国人现在已没有什么值得自己効忠的东西了,除了...,你可以问问你周围入了籍的朋友,哪一个不是拿自己的誓言当屁的,一个被打断了道德脊梁的民族,前口与后口出声别无二致.

贪官污吏的子女没有一个爱国的,愚燥而已,管那么多干嘛,看着挺好玩的.

我的意思是说,大部分的移民还是认为到了年头就应该入籍,就入了,其中有很多的盲从,对入籍就像应付一场考试,对自己的宣誓根本就没什么印象,我有时调侃入了籍的朋友:你现在效忠英女王了?他们嘻嘻哈哈而已...

凡是中国人效忠的东西，都会很快垮台。所以，大家无需介意效忠女王，效早一天，她丫的就死早一天，各得所需，你开心，她开心。
