今天跟老婆去CLSC给指定的一个私人诊所，做第一次检查。结果交了70元检查费，我们是有那封办医疗卡的信的，之前被告知是不用收费的。当时以为事后可以报销的就交了。现在问朋友都说应该不收费的，请问这笔费用可以报销吗？:confused:

不该去私人诊所的，医院就行啊。 私人诊所的是不能claim的。:frown:

What kind of exam you had. There should not be extra charge for regular check-up. But if you had blood test or ultra sound, or any other extra exams, they will charge you. If you have private or group health insurance, you can probably claim back part of it from your insurance company. Otherwise, you will have to pay by yourself. If you do not have private health insurance, then next time just tell your doctor you want to do all the exams at hospital. Your doctor can refer you to the hospital he works for. You won't have to pay anything at the hospital. While for some special exams, hospitals do not offer. You have to do it at private clinic and pay for it. But it is still up to you, if you want to do it or not. Your doctor can only give you suggestions, it is YOU who decide.
