Please let me to say a few words here.

Life is not easy for every new immigrant but never miserable. Usually, for most Chinese, it has to take 2-3 years or even longer to have a professional job( income >40,000 CND/year ). Then the bank can let you buy a house.

For people who is over 35 year-old and holds a good position in china, please think carefully before you choose this immigration way. Language is the big problem. Don't be tempted by COFI. It is almost impossible to become a fluent french speaker after 10 months for an adult except you have exceptional language talent.

You may study in school with government loan and bursary. It is also hard because you are old. Even though you can finish your degree in 2-3 years, you are going to be 40. You may get a job but in most case you are in entry/junior level.

For people who are young or don't have a good job in China, Canada is not a bad place. If you want more than One Child, Canada is a good place to let you give birth children.

I am happy with my family life here as I have two kids now although I don't know if my current job is secure enough.
