If  you are tired of English test, then you can try UdeM and Poly;

If you want to integrate to Quebec society, why not UdeM?

As a IEEE PHD student, at least you can make 25K, as a master, at least you can earn 20k.

You have got a master degree, you should be capable of doing some research,

such as search a online translation tool, for exemple, bable fish...

French is just a piece of cake compare to your future research, if you get frustrated of this, how you can prove you can do your future research job very well.

Keep trying, with confidence, you will get what you want.

you can choose the master degree program by course option(more positions and much easier), not by the thesis option which you should get the admission/ permission from a professor.

Base on my talk with a few professors, some Concordia's professors prefer to pick their thesis students from the course option's graduate students. I knew two professor whoes more than 80% current students are chosen from previous course option students because they can judge if a student is really good by his scores/projects during the Concordia course study.

谢谢大家的指点！不过我还是辜负了大家——昨天收到PHD.PROGRAM的拒信，只有一个理由：没有教授收我。我去信问过了，只要有教授要我，就能录取。

前面讲过的那个教授给我打过电话后，就再也没有跟我联系过。我后来又把自己的材料打印了一份送到他信箱里，至今也没有消息。不知道他是不是度假去了。也不知道再怎么联系他。

有朋友说广撒网，是不是在一个系里同时联系几个教授？要是给他们相互知道了，是不是该对我不利了？

那就申请course的硕士吧，毕业还快（可4个长term结束),或上过一至两个term后转thesis的硕士也比较容易，别的不说，先招进来是最重要的。

no insult, 听说有些教授不喜欢招女博士生（因为生小孩等其他原因，可能会有耽误，已有实例），我就亲耳听过一个老外教授说过，他的实验室不收女生（私下说的，绝不会公开地）。硕士就无所谓了，也就1-2年实验室的时间，博士可要3-4年实验室研究工作于一个大课题plus pay，一般都比较serious。 不过你还是可以继续试一试，EE专业我就见过几个女博士生了，不知她们4年后的今天毕业了没？

另外，找工也是硕士的就业范围广一些也是不争的事实。
