How are you doing, Good Luck?
I'd like to get back to China next month and I am gonna take a set of Conga (percussion) for my band in China. They cost CAD446.00. Would you please tell me whether the Chinese Customs will charge me Taxes and Duties. By the way, I am permanent resident here in Montreal.
Thanks!

Dear rick,

Thank you for your question. Frankly speaking, I am not familiar with China's customs regualtions. You can try to search it on the China's Cutoms Website by search engine.

To my experience, to enter China. The port in Shenzhen is more loose than those of Beijing and other inland cities. Because there are millions of people going through the LuoHu port in Shenzhen everyday. So, the customs there is not so tight. Especially, Shekou Port in Shenzhen.

On the other hand, if something hapend on the port in Shenzhen. You can return your stuff back to HongKong, and ask friends to take in to China later.

Hope it helps!
