Combining QPIP and EI Benefits

You may be entitled to EI benefits, such as regular benefits, sickness, or compassionate care benefits, for weeks that you are not receiving benefits from the Quebec plan. Benefits paid under the Quebec Plan can also extend the EI benefit period to allow the claimant to receive the maximum number of weeks of other EI special benefits, for instance sickness or compassionate care. Each week of benefits paid under the provincial plan will be taken into consideration when calculating the number of weeks of EI benefits to be paid per benefit period.

这周失业了,想知道拿完失业金再拿父母金(我是父亲)可以吗? 或者先拿失业金,期间拿父母金,那么失业金可以延长吗?

我怀孕6个月了，公司让我做决定：我现在开始拿产假金，一年后lay off；或者现在lay off, 生完孩子拿产假金，
请明白人指点：哪个更加有利？公司说如果现在拿产假金，保留我的医疗保险。但是休完产假之后被lay off有EI可拿吗？
如果先拿EI, 休完产假之后EI 会持续吗？可以去读书继续领EI 吗？ 多谢

我认为是先 lay off, 后拿产假金更好。

先 lay off 的好处：
1）你之前的工作时数都算是计算失业金的有效时数，可以拿足你应得的领取失业金的周数。
2）失业金还没领完就生宝宝了，那么就将失业金转为产假金，产假金领完了，可以接着领父母金，然后再继续领失业金。
3）待到失业金结束前，再申请读书。


可是先领产假金，再被 lay off 的话，那么可领失业金的周数就大打折扣了，因为你领产假的周数不能成为你计算失业金的有效时数。

生孩子不用自己出钱，公司的医疗保险有没有都无所谓。你能申请省政府的医药保险，可能将来买药自己出的钱要比有公司医药保险的会多一些。

比比看，你想要公司的医药保险，还是想要更多的领失业金的周数。

若先拿产假金：前18周拿工资的70%， 以后拿55%（具体可查http://www.rqap.gouv.qc.ca/index_en.asp）， 但拿完十个月产假， 再被裁员的话，就没有EI了。

若先拿EI，四个月后孩子出生了就可以拿产假金，自己可以算算哪种划算。

请教各位：我现在拿EI， 8月份结束， 但现已怀孕7周， 所以要明年1月份生产。像这种情况还能申请父母金吗？ 如果能，那什么时候申请呢？谢谢！
