In most of casses, you don't exact your wisdom teeth when you are in severe pain. If you have dental insurance, go and see a dentist. He may prescribe antibiotics for you. For some difficult wisdom teeth, general dentists may not do it. They will refer you to a dental surgeon.
If you are a first time patient, some dental office will ask you to pay first, and they fill out the insurance form for you. You mail the form in and get reimbursment. If the office accept you insurance, then you just need to sign the form and do not have to pay. The dentist will get money from the insurance company directly. So call them first and find out.
