For those who are willing to correct my articles, you are more than welcomed.

We drove to downtown this morning. It is actually not very hard to find a parking placle there. We found one and the last parking left us twenty minutes. We fed three quarters to make it 60 minutes. After we came back, the meter indicated that we still had 40. We were wondering who would be the next lucky one when we drove out of downtown and headed for our home which is in a country-like area.

To freshland: You may find my diary nonsense or trivial. I am sorry about this. I just wanna to learn to express myself in English and I know I am not good at it for now. But I will be getting better. You will see it.

Ok, today I will begin with a joke, which I copied from somewhere, to please you, my buddy.

""A pretty young lady went to cash a check at a bank. The teller examined it, then asked,'Can you identify yourself?' Looking puzzled, the girl dipped into her handbag and pulled out a small mirror. She glanced into it for a moment, then smiled,'Yes, it's me all right.'""
Haaaaa.

There is a mistake in my last diary. It should be 'We drove downtown....' instead 'We drove to downtown..". Downtown is an adverb. Should be no preposition before it.

We got several friends visiting us today. They come from my cifi class. One of them is a priest, who is serving in a catholic church near where we live. Being a person who works with God, my friend looks quiet and learned. He has not ever initiatively talked about Bible or something like this with us. Just once he said people sometimes call him Father. Then I said I wanted to be a Mother. He said ok, he would pray for me. I was wondering how I could be a Mother as a married woman when I realized what he meant. Today he told me he is still praying for me to be a mother everynight.

What I like to say about my another friend is that I also learnt a lot from her. She is  capable and strong. If I were a plant in greenhouse, she would be a tree in wild field. Both of us have a part-time work. It was once a hard time for me when I started doing this work. I didn't know what I was doing and who I was in Canada. But she was different. She seemed very happy to face the reality and accept it. But it doesn't mean she has no higher ambition. I give my best wishes to her.
  eek!

It is not a big day today. It is a normal day. I spent most of my day at work. It is not a job I like. I just take it for a living. Yes, it is my problem. I have not got used to a (pingyong) life even at my early thirties.

Too tired to continue. Good night.

Today I would like to introduce a woman writer-Margaret Atwood- and her novel <<The Edible Woman>>. Margaret Atwood is a Canadian writer. She ia a novelist and poet, critic and deitor, one of the most prolific and important writers of contemporary literature(cited from the preface of the book).

The reason why I prefer to read women writer's work is I could find something in common with them being a woman too.
I bought this book in a garage sale. But it turns out that seems i can't ever finish reading this novel by myself, so up to now I have no idea  what an edible woman is like. It may take a few months or a few years(Waoh) to type in this book because it is a long story and I am a slow worker as well. Anyway , let us go.

One

I know I was all right on Friday when I got up; if anything I was feeling more stolid than usual. When I went out to the kitchen to get breakfast Ainsley was there, moping; she said she had been to a bad party the night before. She swore there had been nothing but dentistry students, which depressed her so much she had consoled herself by getting drunk.
"you have no idea how soggy it is," she said,"Having to go through twenty conversations about the insides of people's mouths. The  most reaction I got out of them was when I described an abcess I once had. They positively drooled. And most men lokat somehting besides your teeth, for god's sake."
She had a hangover, which put me in a cheerful mood-it made me feel so healthy- and I poured her a glass of tomato juice and briskly fexed her an alkseltzer, listening and making sympathetic noises while she complained.

To be CONTINUED. Good night!

Sorry flysky2, suggest that you buy some books, such as handbook for writers..., which can hone your skill a lot.

Iam so sorry if my stuffs disappointed you. I have realized how silly the title of the topic is. Yes, I should do it home if it is merely my diary. But I didnot mean this. My initial purpose was to creat a column where we can present our feelings or comments in English, through which I also hoped I could make some friends sharing our English learning and improving. Anothing selfish thought I should admit was that I wish I could overcome my problem through writing English to the public. I am always too shy and nevours to speak English in the front of the publics. I might feel a little bit more comfortable in fornt of my imaginary audiences. And I had supposed they were as friendly and lenient as possible. If I could not reach this goal, at least I wish I could do it alone.   frown
