I know:
for netzero, a way to remove the banner without any software,or any editing

for netzero, a way to get UNLIMITED time...but with the 15mins auto-disconnected,

NOTE : JUNO IS NOT OPEN FOR SIGNUP ANYMORE
       MACHINE ID DOES NOT WORK WITH ALL LOCAL  TERMINAL SERVERS(067 does work though)
       BANNER SOFTWARE IS BEING MONITORED BY NETZERO'S BACK_MON FUNCTION(MSASM98)

having said that...here's my own trick for BANNER REMOVAL: (only tested on win98/ME/2000)
    1.open netzero V1.0 QS or plus
    2.connect with your account
    3.wait for the banner to come out
    4.close the web page opened by netzero
    5.now, click on the "X" (exit button) ont the netzero banner
    6.you'll see a window with a download progress bar(ads that being downloaded), on the buttom of this window, you'll see 3 buttons, one of them is "LOG OFF".
    7.now comes the tricky part, you click on log off, AND WAIT UNTIL THE BANNER IS GONE FROM THE SCREEN,(it usually takes half a second for the banner to disappear after you click on log off), --*RIGHT AFTER*-- THE BANNER IS GONE, PRESS CTRL+ALT+DEL IMMEDIATELY, this will bring up the end task window, inside this window you should see
two tasks with the same name of "EXEC", ONE is in the middle or top of the task list another one is ALWAYS on the bottom of this list, you should also see Rnaapp in this list too, if you don't see Rnaapp, start from step 1 again
    8.now, highlight(select) the FIRST "EXEC"(the upper one), and press ENTER once, IMMEDIATELY AFTER, press ctrl+alt+del AGAIN! this brings back the END TASK window, and the two EXECs are still there, without delay, hightlight(select) the second EXEC in the bottom (the lower one) and press ENTER --*ONCE*--(remember, only once).
    9.This time you should see another window pops up with 2 buttons END TASK and CANCEL, now don't do nothing, and count to 10 secs(or more, no less), after 10secs, click on END TASK, if you did everything correctly, there SHOULD BE ANOTHER WINDOW JUST LIKE THIS ONE BEHIND, with the same 2 buttons, END TASK and CANCEL, choose END TASK again...ta-da!!!
   10. now you can surf the net without banner. note that this only removes the banner, you still have 10 hours on your account...
