because of my work enviroment,i have more chance to compare with the laptop computer,generally ,the IBM is the best,whatever the quality ,reliability,performance,i recommand the IBM.

but, i still want to say,don't emphasize the warranty too much,if you have the experience to deal with these company,you will find out,so called warranty means,they only provide the basic service.they seldom have the problem with the quality. DELL is start from the low-end product,that is why DELL is cheap.in my company ,we never purchase DELL laptop.even every time,we thought it over.the weekness of DELL is,reliability.
HP,COMPAQ,is ok.

I have used a Compaq (made in Taiwan) and a DELL (made in China). The Compaq is better. However, I am not saying that Compaq is good.
