I HEAR THAT DVD PLAYER FOR NORTH AMERICAN SYSTEM CAN BE MODIFIED INTO ALL SYSTEM. THE ONLY THING WE NEED IS TO BUY A MOD CHIP (MODIFICATION CHIP). IS THERE ANY BODY KNOW IT? PLS HELP.

As far as I know, you do not need to change the decode chip. When some Chinese manufacturer made the DVD player several years ago, they only produced players with the China region decoding capabiliy. But they told the sellers how to modify it to become international player. You know that could not not complicated for sellers to do it.

Xixi. the most easiest way for solving the problem is to buy a DVD from Chins. I think it should be less than 1000 rmb now.

THANK YOU. I HAVE ALREADY BOUGHT POINEER DVD PLAYER 2 YEARS AGO. SO I HAVE NO PLAN TO BUY ANOTHER ONE. MINE IS WORKING VERY WELL, JUST SOMETIMES I CANNOT PLAY DVD MADE IN CHINA, BUT IT CAN PLAY DUPLICATED DVD WITH HOLLYWOO MOVIE.

I have the same problem. I bought a "samsung" DVD from Future Shop last boxing day. Last week my friend borrowed me a DVD disk come from china and I can't saw it. Player said "check the TV system". I think is about disk code. I hearded somebody could change it to glabol format, but now I don't know where I can do it.

Buy a Chinese DVD player such as"金正". u can use any area's DVD and no problem.
