I am looking at a Nikon Coolpix 5000 digital camera for about $800+ CAD. It's brand new with standard setup.

I am asking for your expert opinions. Thanks a million!!!!

From my experence deal with auction item from US, it will be 15% plus custom fee which depends on carrier. UPS may charge around $35.00 CAD, well Canada Post charge $5.00 CAD for it. I hesitated to buy expensive item from US sellers unless you have a US address and later bring it back to Canada OR you can ask seller mark the shipment as "gift" with very low value. This may work for your advantage, but a lot sellers wouldn't do it for you.I have done many transactions mostly in Sun/HP machines and parts & software. It can be confusing as far as tax is concerned. Product itself are genuine good stuff though.
