The 90+ players come from Canada, India, USA, England, Egypt, Peuto Rico, Venezuela, Belgium, Czech, Colombia, Qatar.

18岁的张漠在2006年的国际乒联世界青少年巡回赛中收获了两枚女单金牌，但在今年她至今还未在该项赛事中取得一个女单冠军的头衔。在即将开始的加拿大站的青少年公开赛中，她被视为夺金的最热门人选之一；张漠本人也表示，期待这次主场作战能够摘金.
在今年2月份的巴林公开赛上，她在女单决赛里负于罗马尼亚的萨马拉；一周之后她又在多哈的女单1/4决赛里输给了相同的对手.
在2006年5月的北美洲锦标赛上，她在同王晨的交手中2：3不敌对手。赛前张漠并不被人看好，因为她的对手是刚刚加入美国籍的王晨。王晨在十年前是当时世界顶尖高手之一，还曾在1996年的松下中国公开赛上，相继战胜邓亚萍和乔红，一举夺得松下公开赛的女单冠军。
而就在2006年的7月，张漠在美国国际公开赛的女单决赛中再次与王晨交手，这次她没有错失良机，最终以4：2战胜了王晨，夺得女单冠军.

欧洲头号青少年选手成为夺冠热门

      在4月12日即将拉开序幕的加拿大青少年公开赛中，17岁的英格兰男孩金克霍尔将以头号种子的身份参赛。他目前在青少年巡回赛男单积分榜上的欧洲选手中名列第一。

      为期四天的加拿大青少年公开赛将进行至少12个项目的角逐：青年组（18岁以下）和少年组（15岁以下）都分别设有男子组和女子组的团体，双打，单打等多个项目的比赛。
  金克霍尔不仅是全英国最出色的少年选手，而且在青年选手的行列中也是名列前茅。今年三月份他在谢菲尔德的比赛中一举成为全英男单冠军，证明了自己的实力。
  他在国际乒联职业巡回赛上的表现也让人看到了他继2005年欧洲青少年锦标赛少年组男单夺冠后所取得的进步：他曾与韩国名将柳承敏和德国的斯特格交手，两次都与对方打满七局。金克霍尔现在最渴望的，应当是一枚青少年公开赛的男单金牌。

The finals of team events are at 7pm tonight.
Double and single matches will take place from 9am to 8pm(Saturady), to 5pm(Sunday).

In the girls' under-18 team event, India beat Canada 3-2.
Neha Aggarwal won 3-0 against both Shirley Yan and Zhang Mo of Canada.

In the boys' under-18 team event, England beat Belgium 3-2.
In the semi-final, although Cannda team lost to England 2-3,
but Shen Qiang of Canada managed to beat both the #1 seed Paul Drinkhall and Danny Reed of England.

India also won the boys' under-15 team event and girls' under-15 team event.

It was a very successful day for the Indian teams yesterday.

In the singles, both Zhang Mo and Shen Qiang advance from their groups to the elimination round.
The matches continue till around 8:15pm tonight.
the quarter-final and semi-final will start at around 10am tomorrow morning.

Zhang MO played a more patient, consistent, attacking game and won 4-0 in the final of junior girls' single.
Together with Shirley Yan, she also won junior girls' double.

English player Paul Drinkhall won a very close, thrilling match of 4-3 against Belgian player Benjamin Rogiers in the final of junior boys' single.

Unfortunate for Benjamin, he also lost in his close match against Paul in the team final.

All in all it was a fun and well-attended tournament.
