Thanks 圆明园. I almost agree with the writer. The value of 王小波, in my eyes, is his truthful nature of a humanbeing, powered with the ability of sharp critical thinking and clear and humorous writing. He fullfilled his destiny as an artist/intellectual--to contribute/repay to the world the spiritual value endowed upon him. He is true, like the artical said: 知行合一; hence influential.
Comments on him, mostly those from scholars, are jsut like talking shit, and give me the impression like brutally gluing donkey's lips on horse's mouth (you know what I mean). 王小波 is spiritual and, at the same time, mundane, a combination of these two natures like everyone else. What makes him unique is that he consciously and truthfully expressed himself as what he is. His value lies fundamentally in his truthfullness. |
