I got my first parking ticket the day I bought my car. The transaction occured at 5:00 pm on Friday. The city hall was close at that time, so I could not buy my parking perim. I just parked my car in the street where I lived, however, I still got the parking ticket. Do I need to pay it? Thanks.
if you parked area need the parking permission,I think you have to pay this ticket, because nobody knows where you are living, and there is no notice to tell you if you live near this street, then you can park there without permission.
you have to pay the tuition fee for the first time parking.
look at carefully next time, any where and any time.
I know where to park my car for free, however, I can not find one at that time. Also, I know where to buy the parking perim, however, the city hall was close at that time. Some friends told me that within 24 or 48 hours of new transaction, you don't need to follow the regulation of parking. Do you know if it is true or not? I just want to know this.
I got a ticket 2 hours ago. It was around the corner of Atwater and St. Catherine. The meter says one needs to pay from 8 - 18. When I went back at 10pm, I saw a ticket on my front window. The reason is that the lot is among several resevered until 10pm. Well, this time I found the sign on the top of a black stick, but it is easy to miss in a dark night. I really don't want to pay this ticket. Do I have chance to escape? Many thanks !!!
w16982001ca: no problem, you can plea no guilty on the back of the ticket and mail it back. it can be clearly explained even if you are required to go to court.
cost: you confuse me: if there's parking meter, it must be outside reservation area; if you parked in the reservation area (for sure there's no meter), you must pay the ticket unfortunately
