"一回事" = same?  :confused:

黄豆(yellow bean/pea?) 是做~碗豆黄(中餐), Yellow Pea Soup(西餐), etc. NOT same!
There are many dried Yellow Pea/Yellow Split Pea in supermarkets, ~900g/1kg plastic bags, check!

Can u upload a picture of your beans?? or try to give us some descriptions and where u bought them from?!

There are things call Yellow Beans in US/Mexico/Latin America that is NOT Soya Bean.  Indian use quite a bit of yellow stuffs also.  See if u can figure out from pictures in followings:

我在IGA买过所谓的YELLOW BEAN，打出的汁含淀粉太多，一煮就糊锅，不能做豆浆。
