对车，我的看法是：
    买二手车，有钱买欧洲车，钱少买美国车（别太旧）----安全！
    修车，该上大型厂（象CANADIAN TIRE）或专门GARAGE，看起来贵，其实便宜，他们修完了有信用，回头找他认帐（一般不会有问题），越人和国人（广东人为多）挺赖皮的。且不管会不会什么都敢修（后果可想而知），大厂很老实，NEVER TOUCH就和你明说，让你找别人。

$6000 is indeed too expensive.

if you add $4000 more (tax included), you could buy a 98 Corolla, Auto, Air, about 70k.  One of my friends bot 98 Corolla at the beginning of this year at $10K

with $6000, you could buy a 95/96 Nissan Sentra or 95/96 Mazeda Protege.

i think it is a nice car(93 toyota tercel), i have met a car same as yours, but it is 94. asking 4800, last negotiation price is 4500.execellent cond.
you can buy it(after inspection)

But you would have a lot of troubles when you have it.  Don't be cheated by the price.  When you have a car, you don't want to go to garage every day.

The price asked is not far from the fair value. I would prefer Tercel to Neon.
