Lots of gas and $$$?
In winter when ATF is very cold, the effectness of torque transfer before drive and slave torque converter inside automatic transmission is very low as well as torque from engine. That's why you feel like towing, in that way you feel engine is rev higher but speed is not catch up.
The snow tire, especially those tires for snow (not for ice) with big stud are also less effective on the road.
You should be better when car is warm, right? I guess you have an old automatic transmission car, which eats some of engine revolution on cold weather and snow tire. Even with manual transmission, it still eats some engine revolution.
Eating revolution in your car is too much. Does it do the same when car is hot? |
