刚买的车，发现尾气有味道，不知道是否严重？
是什么原因呢？应该怎么处理？

Either because the engine is too cold to have complete burning, or the mixture between gas and air is not exactly 1:19, or the quality of gasaline is not very good, or the engine is not working in the perfect condition as design.

This could be for new car, if it runs well without loosing power, you can do nothing with it. Dealer will refuse to fix it just because of smell.

Bad mixture or burning may short the life of exhaust system such as pipe and muffler.

perego:if this happens on the beginning of starting engine,do not worry about it.it is normal because of cold engine.but if it is happenning through all time,go to qualified garage doing engine performance check.it is good for your car,good for saving maney as well,since winter is coming man.

This is a brand new car - do not make a big fuss about it!

Drive for 2 months and if it still "smells" bad, then go for a checkup. But remember all cars polute and you may have a sensitive nose (ask your friend to smell it as well to see if they agree to you).

Sorry, if I couldn't remember exactly, or may be it's 1:14. Dammn it. I need a search for this.
But I am sure, not many technician know the perfect ratio of complete combustion. 1:19 is too lean, oxygen sensor will feedback low lamda signals.

没想到本贴引起了这么多大侠的关心，多谢多谢。

我买的是USED CAR（93的ALTIMA，13万），车主定期在NISSAN DEALERSHIP做保养，SERVICE RECORDS完整。今年一月份还换了整套EXAUST SYSTEM，热车时（比如高速跑个5~10KM）好象就没味道了，但平常开就有味道。
买车前在CANADIAN TIRE验过只说要换AIR FILTER，并没说ENGIN有问题，都说CANADIAN TIRE也信不过，所以很疑惑，难道真是只换AIR FILTER这么简单，还是如DonCherry 所说是Bad mixture的问题？若是后者怎么查，怎么修，贵吗？
