Since the buyers don't pay the Real Estate Agents when buying, I think it is worth to find an agent to help you. All agents have proper trainings and know more about (in this case) condos than most people. They also have access to more complete sales listings, so this way you can save time.  
So in your case, I suggest you to find an agent to help you.  If you want more help you can call me at 514-449-0809 (I'm not an agent, but worked in condo sales office for a few months)

buyers don't pay commission.

But, when there is no agent from buyer side, listing agent may take a cut, let's from 5% to 4% to make the house cheaper.

and sometimes, there is no agent on selling side, the asking price doesn't take consideration of commission.

by default, the agents want to close the deal quickly, this doesn't server to buyer's best interests.

an agent has more access? maybe, i doubt it.  it was probably true before MLS.

if you are willing to do some homework, i don't you think you need an agent.

LASALLE,VERDUN和DE L EGLISE不是都在一个区里嘛？即VER登区。

LASALLE,VERDUN和DE L EGLISE这些区的房子不好（没年代），

LASALLE,VERDUN和DE L EGLISE这些区的当地人更坏（歧视）。

Lasalle是个不错的区，可以找到好房子，但是价格较贵，比如河边有很多高档房。
Verdun也不能一概而论，修女岛就是VERDUN区，房子很好也很贵。Verdun靠De L'eglise地铁站附近人口素质不太好，但应该不是当地人歧视你的问题，你应该歧视他们才对。

最重要的一点是，买房主要取决于价格，不可能有价格，房况，交通三者都好的房子，你必须在三者之间平衡作出取舍。
