Once I've learned to be lonely, and lonely is the only thing i’ve known, it begins to feel like home, it becomes my comfort zone...
For yeas, you have become cozy in my malaise, so much so that it’s become my way of life. my friends, who obviously care about me, have noticed that something is not right. When they politely inquire, i tell them (and myself) i am fine. If i wasn't uncomfortable with this itch, i wouldn’t wonder whether to scratch it.
We are social creatures who thrive on intimate relationships to provide mirrors for our personal growth. Observing how we enact love and how we react to a partner pinpoints where we are and where we need to go. While socializing is important, it’s also necessary to incorporate quiet alone time to assess our social moves. The aim is to achieve balance between our interactions with others and our interactions with ourselves. If we lack this balance, we live life in one-sided dullness, which is boring and unproductive. |
