I have little info and want to share with pple whos lookin for job now.

9 ^" c3 j/ F, ^* E$ T0 P: q( a3 ZIm workin in a top 20 corp, I'm the only chinese out of 50 pple in my dep. We always hiring pple and my teamlead always bring me some resumes to confirm info. So I would like to point something in order to help xdjm's with ur rsume.

1, Name, my team lead always brought resumes and asked me" is he/she a chinese? or Cambordie?" he tried to figure it out though name. I heared in some Quebec companies manger judge pple from name, if they saw it's not quebcois name, they just simply throw awy. Our dep is more diverse, I keep my chinese name at wk and never used English name.

I don't give my personal opinion ....should use English name or not? I just tell u something in the wk place before u get interview calls.: U5 K" G$ M/ F& `# K0 I$ m

2, spelling never having wrong spelling on ur resume including" , . :" ;) especially when u paste resume on the web, check it b4 u submit.2 L; v q$ P' W' @. i

O$ y, E3, right resume for the right position some pple with higher education came to interviews, they explained how smart they are, the manager thought they over qualified and wont stay in this position longer, big corp also afraid pple leaving cuz they provided good training and benefits. however, all pple in my dep. at least having 2 bachelors or 1 bach+ 1 master, Im confused how can they judge pple over qualify? just an excuse? :confused:

4 Dress for sucess important during the first interview and never repeat the same dress for 2nd interview.

5 Fluent think 2nd before u talk, they will think u stupid if u using the wrong words or cannot clearly express ideas7 s( S! g( s# w; `
