GST/HST CREDIT是啥？

GST（HST）:购物税or消费税
Goods and Services Tax (Harmonized Sales Tax)
GST(HST) Credit:政府对低收入人员或家庭的消费税补贴，也就是所谓的消费退税。

these days I recived a letter from em and it told me that my spouse could not have his/her gst / hst because I've already applied this for him/her,so in one family we can only have 1 GST/HST credit?

if I remember correctly, those with household income below $30,000 is elegible to apply GST/QST credit. Only one spouse can apply. better the lower income one to apply.

GST= goods & service tax
QST= Quebec sales tax
