hi montrealpost,
thanks for your advises. Actually, I don't understand the exact meanings of those serial concepts such as beer caps, beer caper,60x375, and 30x710,though.Post by montrealpost
JOHN:
1. If u are sure your Ice Wine didn't have any grape juice smell (should be much LESS than MM juice), even the worst kit will smell sort of expensive Welsh (hope u understand what I mean), consider contacting the manufacturer. 85% chance u'll get a new kit.
2. Keep your original 20L juice bucket from MM or give it to someone - it's the perfect bucket for making wine (grape, apple, pear, lemon, etc.) the Chinese way. The big ring inside give a perfect seal, easy to open and easy to close. Use ? to drill a perfect circle around the little hole inside the screw top, for putting airlock and bunk, only few minutes job.
STRINGER,
Feel sorry for your bad experience, guess u haven't bought the beer caps, nor beer caper? (don't buy them on Dollar, too expensive) U can buy the caper for $11.xx-$3X or rent it for about $1 or $2 per day. Will u be bottling your beer in 60x375 or 30x710? If 60, u can rent the bottling tree + ?disinfecting dish? for another $1/$2.
I'll look around for few addresses, Oct 3 or 7.
EVERYONE ELSE,
don't buy your 1st beer kit from place that doesn't have it in stock, what u want to buy is the experience of the owner/operator. They can give u advices. It's really the store owner's knowledge that u need to buy, visit a few more places, pick the person u are most comfortable with + know beer/wine (whatever u are buying). |
