Hi, Don Cher:

       I want to change the "Catalytic concerter of my 1993 honda civic lx 4D sedan", since I found it blocked. However, I find it too expensive to buy a new one, where can I find a cheap used one, which can fit my car without the problem? I also want to know what cause it blocked, how long it need to be changed. Thanks.

It might be dispointment for you because new Cat is very expensive; Installing used Cat is illegal in North American. Most of garage should know it. Breaking the
chemical part inside, making it flow free to increase the house power is also illegal.

Unless you find an used one in very good condition and a garage is willing or don't know this regualtion. You have no choice but install a new one.

Where can I find a used one? How do I know it is in very good condition? I try one garage in Lasalle, they called some place and found a used one (75$+tx). However, I don't know the condition of the one they want to order. I check with Canadian Tire, the new one is 175$+tx. I really in a trouble now. I don't know if I can use the used CT or not. But, the garage seems to have no idea about the regulation, they (Ultrama Lt.)  want to install it for 150$+tx. What should I do now? Please help me Don Cherry!!
