Individuals who lived in Canada for 183 days or more are also usually deemed to be Canadian residents. Canadian residents are taxed on their income, including income earned in Canada and income earned outside Canada.
Individuals who have left Canada
If a person moves out of Canada, he is considered to be a Canadian resident from January 1 until his departure date. He must declare all the monies earned during his period of Canadian residence for income tax purposes.
