Malibu was car of the year (2008?), should be very good (model older than that is so so). but fusion share the same platform and engine with Mazda 6, and it has far better handling which beats Honda Accord from car magazine reviews, so I recommend Fusion, also consider it has better interior, overall quality and reliability...

The choice is yours. I suggest you go to the dealer(or used car dealer) and drive them by yourself, then make up your mind (please post back your test result and final choice at here, thanks).
