美丽的加拿大千岛湖（Thousand Islands）

加拿大三大自然奇观之一的千岛湖[actually over 1,800 islands (1,864 to be exact)]位于加拿大和美国的边界，是闻名于世的风景名胜，从加拿大京士顿（Kingston）向西南200多公里便可以到达。

千岛湖共有大大小小1865个岛屿，这些岛屿都是冰川时期的自然产物。该湖与大西洋相通，深水水道通往五大湖，即：安大略湖、密执安湖、伊利湖、苏必利尔湖和休伧湖。圣罗兰士河（St. Lawrence River）将千岛湖一分为二，南岸1/3的岛屿在美国纽约州境内，北岸约2／3归加拿大的安大略省。

乘坐游船徜徉在深邃沉静的湖面，享受一趟醉人的游艇之旅，便可尽览湖光群岛的靓丽美景。千岛群岛大的有几百公尺长，小的仅是一堆露出水面几尺的礁石，从远处望去，那郁郁葱葱的岛屿竟像一盆盆婀娜多姿的盆景，如繁星般浮落在碧蓝广阔的湖面。

岛上建筑风格各异，时而古朴，时而典雅，时而豪华，时而精致，在绿树的掩映下，红顶白屋时隐时现，这多彩的画面将千岛湖点缀的美轮美奂。更让人感受到了大自然的鬼斧神工创造出的和谐之美！

在千岛湖的1000多个岛屿中有两处值得特别介绍。其一是位于加拿大境内的莎维岗岛（Zavicon）一条长仅四十八尺的小桥，横跨美加两国边境，被称为世界上最短的国际桥。岛屿的主人是原美国通用汽车公司的总裁，当年当他买下了美境的一个小岛后觉得太小了，不能建筑大屋，于是又买下了在加境的莎维岗岛，并在岛上修建了堂皇的渡假屋，并为了交通方便而建了这座小桥。

心岛（Heart Island）因为有一段凄美爱情故事而成为千岛湖中最著名的岛屿。1900年，纽约旅业大王乔治．博尔特（George Boldt）买下这个岛屿作为献给爱妻露易斯的礼物。他将岛修筑成心形，并兴建了一座欧洲风格的古堡，在心岛的末端水边，另建一座小堡孝敬岳母，两者有小桥相连。但不幸的是，城堡刚建好，还在装修中，露易斯竟于1904年病逝。博尔特悲痛不已，遂令停工，并决定从此不再续建，也不再踏足此岛。人们感动于博尔特对爱妻的真挚感情，遂命名为心岛。博尔特死后，根据他的遗嘱，此岛交给了美国政府。现在游客花2美元就可以登上心岛参观。

千岛湖一年四季风景秀丽，在夏季更是有名的避暑胜地。在旅游盛季里，千岛湖人头攒动，热闹非凡。湖面上豪华游轮满载着来自不同国家相会在这里的游人。迂回曲折的群岛间，一艘艘私人快艇矫捷的驰骋，身后勾画出一道道雪白跳跃的浪花。湖面小舟轻漂，白帆点点。还可看到一些家庭游船，幸福的一家人悠然地欣赏着湖中美景。

千岛湖蓝天白云，清波涟漪，绿树成荫，景色宜人，湖边的旖旎风光令人犹如进入了世外桃园，让人流涟忘返，真可谓千岛碧水画中游，令人惊叹！美丽的千岛湖已成为旅游爱好者心目中向往的地方 .
