This might work. Theorically, for Quebec, if you file a combined form, there is no problem in putting them together; for Federal, every tax payer files seperately, it is highly recommended to file them individually(because you put in not only the forms, but also the attachments). I asked the government this question before, I remember clearly that the agent told me to file them seperately. Of course, I never doubt that put two files in one envelope would change the caractor of the return, just for the sake of clarity.
One more concern is it will cost two more stamps if you file them seperately. If you want to save stamps, just drop them into the Deposit Office near China Town(There are several office actually). It is very practical as well. You can stamp them yourself there, it's fun too.
