If someone is looking to go One Way to Beijing/Shanghai/Hong Kong in July and August, Air Canada is heavily discounting seats on Selected Days in July and August. This is considered high season, so basically Air Canada is just trying to fill up some empty seats.

Note that these are One-Way Only fares without returns, so it would be good only for relatives heading back to China (and not coming back), people travelling to other parts of the world and people who are staying in Asia for long periods of time. The other direction from China to Canada is not discounted.

With tax, it works out to anywhere between $332 (YVR-HKG), $379 (YEG/YYC-HKG) and $390 (YVR-PEK/PVG) for departures from Western Canada to these cities. About $450 for departures in Eastern Canada.
