Studying in nursing, it was one of the hardest period in my life. I still remember how I cried, how I put effort to do my homeworks, and how I survived... The 3 years studied at McGill, I reached my lowest weight (only 92-93lbs; a lot of pressures, so I lost weight). And in this program, you are allowed to fail only 1 course (4 credits), more than 1, sorry, you can't continue in the same program again.
After graduating my BAC degree in Nursing, I was not happy at all, because I failed the OIIQ exam, then I was depressed for a certain period of time. I hate the examination role for OIIQ license, WHY? Because each year, they need to fail certain amount of people who write the exam, something like 40%. For example, there are 1000 people writing the exam, only 600 can pass; and the other 400 fail. They give you a license, not relying on how much points you get. And you are allowed to have only 3 times to do the nursing exam, in CANADA. No matter which province to go to do your exam, max. is only 3 times. After all those 3 attempts failed, sorry, you are out of this career.
I didn't give up, I kept studying and studying, I went to OTTAWA to write my CNO exam. (The CNO license allows you to exchange your license to work in QUEBEC). I passed it the 2nd time when I did the CNO exam again. |
