Hi  Could you please help me?

his insurance company send me a letter, insurance company paid him $11000.00, now they hope I can issue the same amount check to the insurance company.

I am totally upset.

I need help!!!!!!!

My stroy is :

I installed a fridge for Mr.A, received $50.00 cash

I didn't registere any company and not gave receipt to him. no GST and QST involved.

I finished the job at 12:30, and everything is ok at that time. 8 hours late, Mr. A phoned me that water came out from his home wood floor from 2:00 pm, I told him to close the wax immidiately. when I arrived his home, the wax still not closed tightly.

now his insurance company let me pay $11000.00 for the wood floor damage.

What should I do now? I should pay or not?

Even if I should pay, I don't think I should take the full responsibility. because Mr.A not let me know the water leaking at the first time. He phoned me 8 hours later.

Please help me!!!!!

很同情你，这50刀不是那么好挣的。
除非能界定是Mr.A的责任，否则就是你这个无牌plumber的责任了，换我也会把责任全归到你身上。如果Mr.A没买财产险，Mr.A就得自己全掏。就算买了财产险，来年财产险的保费猛涨，羊毛出在羊身上，Mr.A还是会找你这个无牌plumber承担责任。
反正都是现金往来，你们也没收据什么的。死猪不怕开水烫，大家各说各话，你不承认是你自己安装的对方又能奈你几何，大不了你就说是朋友帮忙，只是从旁边指导了一下而已。坦率地讲，Mr.A省钱找你这个无牌plumber就潜在的承担了风险。除非对方有证据，我个人认为你无论如何都不能承认是自己的责任，至少不能全部承认。如果能私下调解，那就是最好的结局了。

im sorry but why the "plumber" was needed to install a fridge???  I don't see any relationship with the refrigirator and the water!:confused:

You can have cold water directly from the fridge, that is why when install the fridge, you have to install the water pipe too.

because the water pipe has strong pressure, so if sth wrong, the water leak from the joint and through under the wood floor to cause the damage, but if find the reason asap, definitly can avoid the damage.
