Private Pilot Licence

Privilege:
The owner of Private Pilot Licence can, during daylight, fly any plane registered in Canada anywhere in the world with passengers on board without earning any remuneration. This licence is also recognised abroad and can easily be converted in a foreign licence. With this licence you can also continue to obtain other licence or annotations.

Minimum age: 17 years old

Medical requirements: Class III

Transport Canada’s minimal requirements:
- Theoretical courses (40 hours)
- A total of 45 flight hours of which
30 hours with the instructor
15 hours solo

Exams:
- Written exam at Transport Canada
- Practical flight test with Transport Canada’s accredited inspector

Notes :
The owner of Ultra-light Pilot Permit can credit all their flight hours with the condition to have pilot a 3 axle ultra-light. It is possible to convert the Recreational Pilot Licence into a Private Pilot Licence when meeting the complementary requirements. You can easily add annotations on this licence such as: Night Annotation, VFR on Top, Fleet Annotation, Multi-Engine Annotation, Instrument Flight Licence. All the flight hours are creditable for the Professional Pilot Licence. |
