大家好。我的情况是今年6月csq。现在等visa。预计明年上半年可以拿到。我现在在申请学校。但校方的回复是在我拿到visa之前只能以国际学生身份线上报名。我想问下如果我现在以国际学生身份报名。明年拿到visa之后再转换成本地居民的身份来读书这种形式可行吗？因为我知道国际学生和本地学生报名是两条不同的独立途径。所以我现在很多东西不清楚。希望高人指点。谢谢！

你在等什么VISA？如果你等的是学生VISA，即使你来后也不可能转成本地居民。如果你等的是移民VISA，可以。

if you are sure you can get in as an int'l student, then go ahead and apply now. Once you become a landed immigrant, go to the registration office and tell them the change in your status. The QC tuition fee will apply after.

Keep in mind that some schools or programs are more competitive for int'l students. It would probly be easier to apply as a QC resident.
