单程大约五六千公里, 中间可以考虑游览 Winnipeg,Saskatoon,Edmonton、Jasper and Kamloops. 初步打算一周内出发,具体schedule can be discussed.

I am a girl therefore I would like to have one more girl in this group therefore we could share the lodging cost and more chatting topics.

I can drive and it would be nice to have one or two more experienced drivers.

that's really a great idea. i wonder how many people you'd like to have trip with. c'oz it's a long driving trip, it's impossible for just 2-3 people drive alternatively.

I would not mind driving 400 km per day and 3 drivers can easily go up to 1200 km. So, a 4 seat car would be ok in this case. Of course, if more friends are interested in, we can rent a van --- it saves as well.  ---- Then, sb. help to organize please.

two years ago i have a friend who did the same thing (riding from V to here). it took him 7 days.when he arrived here, firstly he was broken, then so was his car.if you want to learn any experience,tell me.

That sounds like such an amazing trip! I also dreamed of cross canada by a car, but long time driving may kill everyone's mood about the beautiful landscapes. So I prefer fly to Calgary and then drive to Vancouver. That will be more practical and can enjoy beautiful Rocky Mountains, Banff National Park...

Back to several years ago, We have driven from San Francisco to Toronto.  It took 5 days.  It was well prepared and we were in no hurry.  So whenever and whereever we want to stop for a rest or sight seeing, we just stopped.  But make sure you have the road map and tour tik from CAA/AAA so you know exactly what lies ahead of you.  And also bring a lot of CDs and cassettes to keep awake and in good mood.

That is really an attractive idea. But, to be frank speaking, it is also a very tough job to handle this travel.

I guess most people would not feel comfortable to drive their own vehicle for this travel, because the mileage from this trip added to the vehcile will be almost equal to 1 year's city driving, and a serious tune-up for the auto will be necessary after the long distance drive. Also, the vehcile will loss more value itself then we can imagine from this adventure.

Anyway, Canada is beautiful, and a motor drive from coast to coast is also a worthy experience, however, finance and saftey must be considered very carefully! Good luck!

to all who are intersting in travelling across canada.

Last year. I drove my camery to montreal from vancouver. it was really a fantastic trip.if 900 kilometers a day, no tired feelings at all.
just be sure that you get a good map, enough water, and be aware of how much gas in ur tank and how far away another gasline station is.
get a fully checking to ur car and keep the muffler in good condition.
after the trip, you will find canada is really beautiful and rich in nature sources.
