(1) Canadian Tire --- VERY BAD
One year old car, once change engine oil there, the worker dropped sth. inside my car and charged me the labor for taking it out; of course he said he "found" sth. there. He lied because car can not run with that thing (a metal piece)inside.
(2) Canadian Tire (different location) -- BAD vs. Toyota dealer(very good)
3 year old car: This time the mechanics is responsible. He changed the engine oil for me did the regular inspection. He suggested to "flush transmission oil"; which cost 200; and other small maintenance cost ~ 25; however, I went to Toyota dealer (in Rachel street) to get this done for less than 100$. small maintenance is free with dealer.
(3) Canadian Tire (medium)
12 year old caravan, went to change engine oil, they found many parts needs to be changed: ball joint, .. and wheel re-alignment. I had an old card before and understood this might be true so, paid. However, still feel some repairs might not be that necessary.
(4) Canadian Tire (bad) vs. Midas
2 year old car, canadian tire suggests to change air filter;and quoted more than ~ $45. Forturnatey, they don't have the type of filter. So I bought one in dealter's place (~<20). Then went to Midas. They did it free -- it is really simple indeed. Besides, they said the old filter is not bad actually.
