Volunteers are divided into 4 groups:
- French vs. English, and
- Weekdays vs. weekend
French speaking volunteers receive training in French, English volunteers receive training in English in 2 different classes. French volunteers will be assigned to French area/community centres, English to English area.
Weekday volunteers work 2 weekdays, Monday to Friday, for both months of March and April. They receive 5 days training 8:30-16:00, 2013 classes were scheduled for Jan 14-18(F) or Jan 21-25(F) or Feb 4-8(E). Location is somewhere ~Bleury near Chinatown (whoever has exact address, please post).
Weekend volunteers will work 1 weekend day per week, believe it's Saturdays, for both months of March and April. They receive 2 days training 8:30-16:00, 2013 classes were Jan26+Feb 2(F), Feb9+16(E).
New training sessions may be added when required. No compensation, nor reinburstment for transport. All above info. are for reference only. Every year should have similar arrangements.
Those who're interested in serving the Chinese community, please directly check with the 2 Chinese Community Centres (Brossard+Chinatown). Each of the centres organizes its own group(s) and training(s). |
