I just re install my xp, don;t know why xp scan my hard disc automatically, every time I turn it on , although I shut it off properly each time.   and it does find any problem .
can anybody tell me why it happens, how to solve this ?

there is register key to force windows not check/scan the file system, even there is any problem.
