I went to one last night in the Hotel Elizabeth. The name of the restaurant is Beaver Club. The food, service and price are all first class.

It is a cozy LITTLE French restaurant.
which doesn't look fancy on the outside
in a decidedly unglamorous stretch of Decarie street.
It is however well known among food column reviewers.

The entrance is through a bakery/pastry shop.
When I went there for the first and only time,
I paced back and forth outside the main entrance a few times
to double check that I got the right address.

The owner is the head chef and the baker.
The service is professional and gracious.
The food is TOP rate.
So is the price.
Don't be surprised if you spend more than $60 per person.
Reservation in advance is a must.
