对不起，昨天太晚了，没有来报到。因为热气球升空和天气有很大关系，风太大了或者有暴风雨都会取消表演。（2001年，一个朋友就白去了一趟，票被换成了2002年的。）所以，我想等到8月6-7日，可以看到天气预报时再做最后的决定，到底哪天去。
目前，我们可以先报名，统计人数。门票，如果超过25人，大人$9，13岁以下小孩$5。不够25人，则$12/6。

Hi Buddy,
Good news: here are 19 guys want to join us until now.
Bad news: we need totally 18 more car seats but we just have 10 seats (3 more seats from humo and 7 seats from my rented minivan).
Two ways to solve this problem:
One is to rent more cars with more volunteer drivers. It might be more expensive.
The other is that I’ll try to arrange some kind of bus with driver from tomorrow.

Hi Guys,
Here is some updated news:
TIME: I called to the hot balloon festival info centre. At 6:00pm will be the Evening flights. 125 hot air balloons take off simultaneously with classical or popular music in the background, covering the sky with an impressive dance of shapes and colors.
At 8:30pm (Not 10:30pm) will be the Night glows – (Only at August 12, 13, and 14). The balloons are not flight, just stand on the ground. As soon as the sun goes down, they change into immense Chinese lanterns, standing up proudly in the darkness.
So I think we can back earlier in order to catch up public transportations.
TRANSPORTATION: I called the school bus rental company. One school bus (48 seats) 12 hours rental to Saint-Jean-Sur-Richelieu (place of hot balloon festival) with driver (no tips for driver needed) cost $270 plus tax. That means plus parking $5 (I guess for bus will be the same as car) and tax, we all should pay $270 + 7% + 7.5% + 5 = $316.
Until now we have gathered about 28 persons and 22 persons need seat. I’m sure we’ll find more. I’ll keep the update news everyday. Thank you all and welcome all!

About fees:
If you agree, I suggest we employ a principle of child pay less $1 than adult.
Suppose we have x adults and y children, let’s say z is the transportation fee for adult, we get: z*x + (z-1)*y = 316; so, z = (316 + y) / (x + y); here ((x + y) ≤ 48). Am I right? Sorry for bothering you guys with math.
I suggest we establish a lot for fun and solve the problem of changes by the way. We roundup the amount to $1 when we collect the fees. The difference between $316 and the amount we collect eventually, no matter how much, as the happy for the lot. Everyone has the chance to win!
YZZ, please help me doing this, ok?
About Time:
The official website says only 20 minutes from Montreal to site. Let’s count double, 40 minutes. So we can set out at 4:30pm and 5:10pm we are there. As to the time go back. I have no idea about that. Let’s decide it on bus.

I don't know if the front of Concordia Hall Building is ok. I'll check it tomorrow.

Here is an interesting figure:
If we got our first school bus full, it means the transportation fee for adult should be:
z = (316 + y) / (x + y) = 6.75 = $7; (here suppose Adult / kid = 26 / 5 as the fact until now)
x = 40, y = 8 &
(z * x + (z - 1) * y = $328; which means the fortunate lot = $328 - $316 = $12, Not bad, isn’t it?)

Time:
Some guys suggest we get off later because there is no shelter but grass there. We have to exposure in the blazing sunshine for a long time if we start at 2:30pm. Anyway, accept good advice is a wise manner, we decide that the bus will get off at 3:30pm. We might ask the driver for a city tour if we find we have got more time than needed.
Return home will be 10:00pm from there and before 11:00pm we’ll be in downtown. This is for the reason of catching public transportations.
Notice:

Some friends worried about the conflict schedule between official website (8:30pm or 10:30pm on Aug. 12-14) and flyers (8:30pm on Aug. 13-15). I called the (450)347-9555 today twice. They confirmed the night glows will be at 8:30pm Aug. 12, 13, 14 and 15. The operator's English was not so good but she clearly told me this. The second operator's English was wary well. She explained many details: Just because this year will be the 20th anniversary of Hot Air Balloon Festival so they add one more day to celebrate it. The flyer was a print mistake. The night glows will begin from 8:30pm and finish at 9:00pm before the show start . She told me that there is no parking fee for bus ! The parking fee is just for car. The cashier will get on our bus and sell the tickets to everybody. If someone wants to join us by your own car, you'd better tell me in advance and I'll ask the cashier to count you guys in. Sorry for late reply. I’m very glad so many friends want to join us. I’m so sorry that I cannot find more bus seats for you. I encourage you guys go with the Aug. 15’s group and share the gas with car drivers.
Or you can try to find more people, say more than 30 members and share a school bus for less than $10/person. You can call (514)323-2355 ext 104 for Ms. Michelle Deschanes to book the school bus. She is one of the family-owner of AUTOBUS IDEAL INC. You should book the bus in advance at least 3-5 days. All you need is just someone as a caller. I’ll be glad to answer you the questions about booking school bus.
Remember that the weather will be the crucial constrains for hot balloon’s flight. Hope you are lucky!

We had 36 adults and 11 kids in a school bus plus 8 cars with other 24 adults and 8 kids’ group members. We were so lucky and feasted our eyes on the Hot Balloon Festival. Sit in the VIP tent and drank ice tea, count down the seconds for the night glows with crowd of folks, this was great amusement. The 15-minutes fire work with wonderful background music as a bonus, gave us very nice impressions.
