大家见笑了，我刚刚搬来MONTREAL，实在是没有一个朋友可以打听有关情况。我知道大家都有学车的经验，真心的请大家告诉我几个你们认为信誉好的驾校，就算给我这样的新移民个帮助吧。我不图省钱，只想省心，快把车学完。1 D2 y. C; m$ O- n7 Q

我是HOPE 学的，比较便宜，\当然是教的一般。我发现在这里“好货不便宜，便宜无好货”更普遍。 : p j2 {2 L3 R* y" { u( O: p, e0 i4 _
其实，我还是发现私人补钟比较好。当然价格要高一点。你可以象我一样，6个月时，先去一个驾校，就为他们那个证明，12 小时满了，可以8个月就考牌。然后考前请私人补钟。南岸的几个教练都不错。如果你车感好，再补个3-5小时就行了。当然，因人而定，也有人要十几小时。驾校里，是让你熟悉车，对车的感觉一般要3-5小时，这和谁教没有很大关系。西人的教练你完全可以要他讲英语，你是顾客，你付钱，你说了算。- [! |+ f2 T, X# P: _( F, A

我在国内没摸过方向盘，来了这里后报名一家便宜的驾校，12小时基本会开车。便宜是没好货，不过学的时候多长个心眼。驾校教练要我补钟， 我没答应。学校引诱我买什么书，我没答应。: T0 ? A$ O- i3 A7 \# j

第一次由于没去实地练过，确实紧张，第一个盲点也没查，加上其它毛病，FAIL了。 . u4 K7 G' e% A + p* j$ k6 C7 P3 s; e6 r接着我决定21天后再考，还是没补钟。最后没犯大错，PASS了。 ; A1 g% q5 }, u! J# Y, Q- [) h- V- q* ^
HB的考官全部很严格，你一犯错，他马上指出来的，这时你不可以心慌的，表面上一定要沉着自信。自始至终，你没必要和考官套近乎的，也没用。建议大家穿的不要太随便，稍微收拾一下。你想，一个考官看你象流浪汉似的，会放心让你过么？ . {$ K9 E' C: g2 I: Z8 ^! b @ 7 D+ ]6 z5 J+ I; A总结起来：驾车是个熟练活，把转弯、变线、停车、停牌、ONE TWO WAY转换、车速控制熟练了，发挥好的话，你肯定可以过。 * `/ ~7 _0 r4 Y" T+ V/ \! y2 Q. s& r2 T/ u

i didn't study in any drving school and i passed the knowledge exam by reading the guide book. i am not preparing to "bu zhong". ! p0 B" E( e1 D8 w# _5 \; }% Q0 U [8 _9 G+ b& P; o

Personally, I don't think Theory Class is necessary. I did not take any test. You can just read the books and go for the test. One or two nights' study should be enough. 7 L$ p8 A- g3 s+ P% Y* Y& K" h/ R9 b. w2 x4 f! k# j
If I were you, willing to spend $470 for only 12-hour practice and theory study, I would spend 200 in Hope or whatever cheap/bad driving school for 12 hours, and then, go for 10-15 hours private practice in South Shore. about the writing test, find a book, read it, shouldn't be any problem at all.0 _7 W* K) j( r+ `/ w

Not sure if you have the learner's permit... - t( a; d2 S1 T 9 A- {# g3 |8 V7 k0 l" O6 pBut if you do have, the driving practice in Montreal City Motor League is not bad. I took the course there for 12 hrs driving, the price is $420 (tax incl.). If you have 2 people enrol together, you should be able to get this price! . B8 F& }' e; C' s. e- Y / F: x+ b9 i* i, I1 P2 P$ GThe instructor was kind and nice, basically you would finish everything you need for the road test after 7 hours, then you have 4 hrs to go to H.B. for driving there to be familiar with the road condition there.* {4 N$ V+ x, I& {; T/ \1 f% W$ E, C
1 [& g2 c% M8 B! L" G% oThe instructor will tell you how he thinks about your driving skill at last and he won't ask you to register for more hours if you are good enough. HOPE最让人不舒服的就是有那么几个接待小姐,在你注册之前态度非常好,一旦你注册交钱,态度马上就变了,变得让你觉得恶心.而且,奇怪的是,他们跟你签的合同,竟然只有他们自己有一份,等你交完钱了,想回过头来检查一下协议内容,却没有地方可看了.作者: samuel 时间: 2002-3-11 20:05

1. I am not doing ads for Hope, as they are not paying me for it. :cool: but like I have mentioned, it is CHEAP, I never expect to have a good service based on the price, 12 hours with less than 200. moreover, I never actually even read the agreement. anyways, the relation between I and the driving school ends after completing 12 hours practice. (11.5 indeed, the last hour is 'evaluation' which only take 30 min) and last, I never mind they call me to cancel the schedule. as long as it's done one day before. . w# W0 Q& t4 K ) W# r1 V5 z2 M- |1 Z2 p2. To janny, if you want to know some good private instructors, I do have one.
