Too difficult to use it in a short time.
You know, a experienced SAS programmer is very easy to find a job in medical or biological company for statistical analysis.
If your major is statistics pr math, it will be easier.
Programming itself is not difficult. BTW

相关得统计知识不能少。很快就能学好。

非常感谢各位大哥提供的信息，我刚外出回来，才看到帖子。我因可能有机会去一家金融机构INTERVIEW，做有关SAS 的分析工作。有谁知道看什麽参考书帮助最大？可否有软件下载使用？我是Computer major，没有Statistics or Math background.

SAS软件不好找。而且破解不完全。以前下过一个V8.2版(5张光盘)，用半年就不行了。现在应该是V9.0了。我以前一个朋友是读MBA的，结果找了一个SAS PROGRAMMER的工作。INTERVIEW之前恶补一把，还是不行。但最后别人还是要了他，不过年薪只有US$4万。但那是99年的事了。现在情况可能不同了。

其实sas就是一个软件，学就行了呗。
不过统计的东西是挺重要的，特别是
跟你要做的东西相关的背景，你总不能
连你的输出结果都看不懂吧。

这要看你用SAS干什么了。大部份SAS的工作机会都在FINANCE这一块。而且，股市泡沫时期，金融数学是最热的，而且也是最难的。华尔街当时一个经融数学专家的年薪是$100万美元。一个教授搞了一个金融数学模型(好像是与股票等有关的)而荣获了诺贝尔经济学奖(记不得那年了，好像是98年前后的)。所以，干SAS不往经融上靠是极不明知的。当然，SAS在其他领域也有应用，但工作机会少多了。

多谢TrainingSchool 推荐的参考书。但我查了CHAPTERS ，不知为何没有，可否告诉我在那儿能找到那些书？因为关于SAS 的书真是太多了，如何入手？

另外，请问CANUSA，你还有SAS 8.0 或更新的软件吗？可否能与你联系？我下个星期就要去 the States 了。

Currently, I don't have valid SAS software. For reference books, I think the books listed on the SAS official web site are the best of all. You can order them online.

我有8.0和6.0，不过license是去年的，用的时候要改系统时间的。
