会计已经烂了！烂市！我昨天去复印课本，发现周围的人全是复印会计书。MCGILL附近。以前都是计算机书。唉！中国人。

作为一个专业是Accounting的人来讲，我并不看好大多数改行学Accounting的同胞们的前景。
众所周知，Accounting是一门对语言要求很高的专业（先且不论有没有学Accounting的天赋和能力，因为Accounting实际上并不是一门只需要耐心不需要智力的专业），可是绝大多数转行的同胞们的语言能力如何，大家心里是非常清楚的。这就限定了这些人的未来的发展。
当然，很多人并不想在专业上有多么好的前途，也许只是为了毕业以后能有一个稳定的工作，但是前景有如何呢？我可以在这里做一个简单的分析：
1 在魁省找工作：大多数有法语的要求，这即使对cofi5级毕业的人来讲，也是很困难的；
2 到外省找工作：安省的会计培训的学校不论是从数量上还是从质量上（会计专业最好的两所学校UofT UofWaterloo)，都要高于魁省；而且不要忘记，在外省同样也有很多学Accounting的人，即使工作机会的绝对数量多，但相对机会并不多，甚至可能更少；
3 去美国：经验、身份、语言。。。在加拿大找工作的困难在美国同样是困难，而并不是到了美国就一切都解决了；
4 回国：CA的证书到现在为止，在中国还没有得到承认，除了大型外资公司，对于其他的企业，是没有用的；CGA，现在在国内就可以考，而且很多人一边上班一边在考，而且应用范围也是有限的，试想对于国内同样有CGA证书，而且又相关工作经验的同胞们，我们这些在加拿大混了几年有没有专业经验的新移民们，又有什么竞争力呢？（如果任何证书都没有，回国更是没有什么机会的）；
我身边一些转行学Accounting的朋友们，当我和他们谈起为何要改行时，很多人的答案都是人云亦云，或者想当然，使我感觉到他们并没有认真思考过自己的未来，而轻易的将自己几年宝贵的年华交给了一个自己并不清楚和熟悉的领域。这样的话，当时无数转行学计算机的人的悲剧就难免会再次发生。

一家之言，难免偏颇，仅供参考。

融入主流社会的唯一条件就是你能够准确、恰当的用外语表达、交流，可这有多难！不在这呆个20年，你休想。
昨天去参加orientation meeting，发现所有学会计的中国人都是移民，当地的“香蕉”一个都没有。为什么？人家已经能够自由交流，信息比我们丰富的多。我想，如果大家选则的专业以后能碰上当地出生的中国人，那么你的选择带给你成功的几律就很高。
嗨。。。。将来又是中国人挤中国人！

别怕！
就象以前的华人在美国都开餐馆/洗衣店一样，也没有因为互相竞争而导致特别的不利。
相反，说不定还是个群体优势呢。十年后公司想找会计的时候也许就会说：去找个中国人吧，他们擅长干这个。
关键是你能否做到优秀，我们中国人是否能做到优秀。

As far as I know, you have to be good at something and has the ability. A lot of persons here only care about choosing the major and want to make big money in one night. They are not good at something.That is the tragedy. Actually, nothing is easy. To have some personal characteristic and ability, be interested in it, be stick to it, are sometimes more important.

就是看不惯你这样的人,好象你的人生悲剧全是因为太多的中国同胞和你竞争造成的,最好所有的中国人都不和你争才好.严重的心态扭曲.

我很赞同ckufouy的话,为什么我们不能团结起来把住加拿大accountant的大门呢?

学计算机的找不到工作,是不是自己的专业技能不过硬或者是语言不过关呢,不要只看到市场不好,学会计也是,你有本事还是能找到自己的位置,年龄大了,太容易悲观

To get a job successfully depends on many factors, such personal overall qualifications, background, language skills and luck. Generally, a CGA, CMA, CA or even CGA...in process is easy to find a job here. A CPA is welcomed in States. Once you chose accounting this way, you'd better to pursue one of these titles.

The more expertises you have, the less language skills are required. A simple rule: for possition of accounting clerk, there must be many candidates qualified for that. You must have many local competitors. How can you outshine them?

找不找得到工作看你有没有本事，我有朋友去年就找到工作，concordia会计毕业，当然他有cpa

The job opportunity for accounting is ok but salary is too low. I am a CA member plus CPA with 3 year experience in CA firm but salary is only 45k. If you guys hope to earn big money, forget about accounting.

Have you tried Ontario? It seems that a CGA in process would have more chances than those here in Quebec.

Or try to find a job in intermediate level here in Quebec, not a $35,000/yr one or a 10/hr one. Normally, some French is required in Quebec job market.

Job searching is a hard trip. Don't give up. Keep going.

I have passed three CGA exams, but still can not find a job. Normally, a CGA candidate have 35,000/year, but when I apply the big companies, they just say:"Thanks for your interest, we already have better candidates". When I apply the job with 10/hour salary, they say:"You are over qualified, you will work here no more than 6 months"........

So is there any one with the similar background as me finding a job recently? Could you introduce your experience? How much your salary?
