这个舞蹈课只有在downtown的Victoria gym 才有，有两个section，我只能选周五晚上的那个。

salsa属于拉丁舞的一种,但较自由,活泼,难度也稍低些,近年风行的很.

649位于catherine上,peel pub对面.每个周一,四晚有半个钟头的免费salsa教 (10:30-11:00),人极多的,你们可以先去看看.

Salsa起源于拉丁舞的发源地——古巴。"Salsa"带着极强的娱乐性，让人乐此不疲。

Salsa是种具有异国风情的舞蹈，它更关注身体的释放和随心所欲。Salsa既能快乐健身，充满娱乐性，又有观赏性和社交功能，同时极具感染力。
在跳salsa时，人体的状态应分成3部分。上半身，尤其是肩部应岿然不动，身体中部，包括腰部和胯部应尽情地扭动，彰显非洲文化活泼、外向的特点。下半身，腿和脚的动作起源于印第安人的文化，拉丁舞中的舞步有一些是起源于此。

The "number of moves" is not important.
The style, timing, musicality, lead/follow techniques, ease of execution are all much more important.
In order to really know/master a move,
you need to include the factors mentioned above.

Learn from a teacher whose style that you admire.
If you don't like the teacher's style, find someone else.

It's exciting to discuss about Latin dance. Well, I learnt Salsa at Concordia last winter and I learnt only a few styles as 安妮，如风 mentioned before. I think it depends what you really want to learn and also depends on what you expect from yourself. I went to a few latin clubs and the bigger one in old <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com

ffice:smarttags" /><st1:City><st1:place>Montreal</st1:place></st1:City> lately. I saw some dancers just concentrated on their styles and ignored their steps, timing, and the rhythm. They just concentrated on their moves and turning the lady with many different ways but they never concentrate on their techniques. Some, especially men, didn't even look like they danced Salsa. As Helloman said that "the number of moves is not important". I strongly agree with Helloman. The techniques are important if you would like to become a good dancer. To be able to become good dancer, it's important to keep practising and dancing. For those who are beginners, never feel shy to go up and dance on the dance floor. The most important is to relax and enjoy with the music. There is an upcoming party on the 17th of September. Maybe it's good time to practise your steps. Here is the link.

这是一所水平很高的salsa学校，九月十二日开学，学费一百多点，复学半价。

每期学习两个月共12小时，每周一次，晚六时半开始，共90分钟。

从初级班至高级班共分五级，初级班能坚持学完并继续学的占百分之四十左右，部分中退场。

It is a basement level "café/dancehall/studio".
I visited it for some free activities during Quebec cultural day last year.

If you are referring to my previous post on the free workshops in Moka Danse,
which is the same as "Dancing Mocha Jo's",
then it is not necessary to go with a partner.
The 3 free basic workshops are for complete beginners.

When I tried the free workshops last year,
there were many people,
so it would not be difficult to practice with someone there.
